*There are about 200 species of owls in the world!
‘Wowl!’
That’s a lot of owls!
Have you ever seen one up close? 🙂
*They can rotate their neck almost all the way around their heads, at about 270 degrees!
Cool, right?
Do you wish you could rotate your neck too like that?
That would be weird….
*They have ‘binocular’ vision!
That means they can see really, really well!
(Well, I think they don’t need glasses then… But I kind of like plush owls that come with glasses, I think they are pretty cute! 🙂

Snowy owls are WHITE owls that actually like to be active during the day!
That means they are ‘diurnal’!
*They are also carnivores!
Yup, these owls like to eat meat!
(They usually hunt small rodents, birds, rabbits, lemmings (their favorite meal!), ducks and hares…)
*They live around 9 years.

*Barn owls have almost a ‘heart-shaped’ face, very unique, and large dark eyes!
*They are also carnivores and they like to eat small mammals.
(They really love to eat small rodents…)
*They live from 5 to 10 years approximately.
*They usually come out at night to eat!
*They can fly almost without making any noise!
(That makes it very easy for them to catch their prey… they don’t hear the owl coming to get them…)
*They swallow their prey whole!
(Ouch! Aren’t you glad you are human??)
